Day 19 Inspiration 10: Rosewell house

There are a lot of buildings to love in Bath. Judging by the number of shots in my photo album, it's as photogenic as Venice.

My inspiration for my next piece is one of my favourite buildings in the city: Rosewell House.  It has a particular elegance and prominent position on Kingsmead Square; I'm especially drawn to the "scroll" decoration around the upper floor baroque window.

The House is dated 1736. I found a photograph dated 1890.

I'll be using my doodle of the modern day building for my painting, but I may bring in elements from the building's history.

Check back tomorrow to see the result.
